What personal data do we collect and why?

Personal data is information that relates to a person who is, or who could be, identified.

We collect and process the following categories of personal data in connection with stakeholder engagement to pursue our legitimate interests of identifying and managing risks and opportunities, planning and prioritising activities, and allocating resources:

  • name, professional title and role;
  • employer and other professional affiliations;
  • professional address and contact details such as email address and telephone number;
  • preferences relevant to our professional interaction;
  • information about professional education and professional activities;
  • information about professional interactions with our company;
  • content and activity on social media platforms which is relevant to our company or fields of activity, including through the use of social media listening services.

We  use  social  media  listening  services  to (i) monitor trends and sentiment; (ii) identify key stakeholders with whom we may wish to engage; (iii) improve our understanding of how information relevant to our activities is disseminated in the medical and wider community; and (iv) identify safety information which we could be legally required to report to competent authorities for drug safety purposes.

We only collect personal data which is relevant and appropriate. We do not collect any sensitive personal data in connection with our stakeholder engagement activities.

The sources of the personal data we collect are:

  • public social media platforms;
  • publicly accessible websites;
  • publications; and
  • professional interactions with you and your peers and colleagues.

You are not obliged to provide your personal data. If you do not provide your personal data, there will not be any consequences for you.

With whom do we share your personal data?

We could share your personal data with our affiliated companies for the purposes specified in this privacy notice.

We work with third-party service providers who help us with our stakeholder engagement activities or who provide other services such as technical support or data hosting. These service providers could have access to your personal data in order to perform the services.
 
We could also disclose your personal data to:

  • official authorities if required by law, court order or governmental regulation or if required for an investigation or legal proceeding;
  • distributors, license partners or other companies with whom we collaborate, for the purposes specified in this privacy notice; or
  • our legal and other expert advisors.

These service providers, collaboration partners and advisors are legally bound to keep all personal data confidential and to use them only to perform the services for which we engaged them.

We could disclose your personal data to third parties in connection with the sale or transfer of all or part of our business, in which case we would require the third parties to treat those data in accordance with this privacy notice.

Some of the above-mentioned recipients of your personal data are located outside the country where you are located, including countries that are not regarded by the competent authorities as providing adequate protection for personal data. We store your personal data only for as long as necessary to achieve the purpose for which the data were collected.
